NDA Admission Application Form 2020/2021 Nigerian Defence Academy (72nd Regular Course) – The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna’s 72nd Regular Course admission application form is now available online for 2022/2023 academic session.

Application for Admission to the NDA

For the 2020/2021 academic session, applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) 72nd regular course (Degree programmes).

Candidates accepted into the NDA‘s Regular Course will receive military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a period of five years for Nigerian Army cadets, four years for Nigerian Navy cadets, and three years for Nigerian Air Force cadets. Graduates will receive an honours degree in a core discipline upon successful completion of training (BSc, BEng, BA). They will both be commissioned into the Nigerian Armed Forces by the President.

The 72nd regular course admission online application form for the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) will be available for purchase from December 5, 2021 to May 14, 2022, and is open to both male and female Nigerians.

The NDA screening test will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2022, at designated centres across the country as phase one of the Post-UTME screening process. Candidates must have a JAMB 2020 Registration Number in order to take the exams.

The AFSB will only offer admission to NDA to candidates who score a minimum of 180 (for Faculties of Arts and Social Sciences, Science, and Military Science & Interdisciplinary Studies) and 210 (for Faculty of Engineering) in the JAMB 2022 examination.

Admission Requirements for the NDA 72nd Regular Course

Candidates for admission to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) on the 72 Regular courses must meet the following requirements:

  • Medically and physically fit, as well as having a good moral character.
  • Must be a single man or woman with no legal obligations to support any children or others.
  • Present a state or local government-issued certificate of indigeneity.
  • Be at least 17 years old and not more than 21 years old on August 22, 2022, the Academy’s start date.

Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits in English language, Mathematics, and three other subjects relevant to the intended programme at not more than two sittings in GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS, and NABTEB).

Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and achieved an acceptable minimum national standard in English, Mathematics, and any other two subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as outlined in the JAMB Brochure (as determined by the JAMB annual policy meeting).

Males must be 1.68 metres tall and females must be 1.65 metres tall.

The ability to communicate in French, Arabic.

Candidates should be aware of the following:

  • Application forms without ordinary level results will be disqualified.
  • Candidates who are awaiting results are ineligible.
  • Only ordinary level examination results from the examination date that is less than 5 years old will be accepted..
  • The Academy will only accept Nigerian males and females.

NDA Examination Centers in Nigeria are recommended.

How to Apply for Admission to the NDA (72nd Regular Course).

After obtaining their ORDER ID and REMITA Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code in the sum of N3,500.00 only, candidates should log on to the application portal ndaapplications.net, select “Purchase Access Code,” and enter their information to pay for their application through REMITA. Please note that only RRR Codes generated through the application portal will be accepted for payment.

APPLICANTS FOR NDA MUST ALSO APPLY TO THE JOINT ADMISSIONS AND MATRICULATIONS BOARD (JAMB), SELECTING NDA AS THEIR FIRST CHOICE INSTITUTION. SUCH APPLICANTS WILL BE EXAMINED FOR THE JAMB UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION (UTME).

APPLICATION SUBMISSION:

Application forms must be submitted online along with scanned SSCE results. Candidates must download an Acknowledgement Form after submitting their online application.

DATE AND REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SCREENING TEST:

The screening test will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020, as part of phase one of the Post-UTME screening. All eligible candidates must bring their Acknowledgement Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB result slip, and TWO (2) postcard-sized (3.5 x 5 inch) photographs to the Screening Test Centre.

Only the candidate’s name, exam number, state, exam centre, course of study, and signature should be visible from the chest upwards on the photographs.

Only those who pass the NDA Screening Test will be invited to the Armed Forces Selection Board (phase 2 of the screening process), after which the list of admitted candidates will be released.

ADMINISTRATION:

All Regular Course cadets will train in NDA, and the Federal Government of Nigeria will cover the cost of their administration and logistics.

In response to candidate requests for reference materials, the Academy has made a Compendium of Past Questions & Answers available to interested candidates for a nominal fee. This is available from the Registry, NDA.
